How long does conveyancing take?
The entire process of conveyancing up to settlement usually takes between 4-6 weeks to be completed. What happens on the settlement day?
During settlement, your conveyancer will meet the other party’s representatives to finalise the sale or transfer. You will not be required to attend settlement in person. Instead, your conveyancer will arrange for you to provide the required signatures beforehand. You’ll be notified of the progress of the settlement on the day, whether it’s a completion of contract signing and exchange, as well as to arrange for the transfer of funds to or from your bank account.
